Mental Health Treatment Programs
Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center
The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center provides effective and individualized mental health treatment programs. Our mental health treatment facility centers around a variety of treatment levels and opportunities that can be tailored to fit a client’s needs and treatment requirements. We offer Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Dual Diagnosis, Alumni and Aftercare programs for individuals suffering from mental health disorders.
The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center provides individuals and their families the opportunity to treat mental health disorders and regain a sense of normalcy and security in their lives. We consciously create an environment geared towards recovery that takes into account our clients comfort, needs, responsibilities and skill development. Our treatment environment closely mimics real life, giving our clients the ability to address their behavioral health problems in a real-life environment to offer them the best success after treatment. Our upscale residential facilities and South Florida location, not far from the beach or lovely downtown Fort Lauderdale offers our clients a relaxing and comfortable place for them to address their behavioral health concerns.
Clients who attend our mental health treatment programs can expect to begin with a physical and psychological assessment. This assessment is the foundation of their individualized mental health treatment program. Clients who suffer from multiple mental health disorders, such as anxiety and depression or an eating disorder and depression or trauma and anxiety will find that our treatment programs and protocols help them to address their disorders simultaneously, giving them the best opportunity for a healthier life.
Mental Health Treatment Programs
Our Mental Health PHP Program is designed as a transition program for individuals who no longer need the support and safety of a hospitalization program, but are not ready to step down to part-time treatment support. A full-time program, our PHP program gives individuals the opportunity to attend treatment throughout the day and reside in the evenings at our supervised residential facilities.
Our Mental Health IOP Program is designed for individuals who have graduated from a PHP program or who have responsibilities to their work, family or outside lives that require ongoing contact and attention. IOP programs meet three times a week and clients reside at home or at sober living or ALF housing.
Many people suffer from co-occurring substance abuse problems. Our mental health treatment program includes dual diagnosis treatment for individuals who need to play close attention to treating their substance abuse issues at the same time. Our substance abuse and mental health treatment teams work together to harmonize care and provide integrated treatment.
Once an individual graduates from our treatment program, we provide ongoing support and care through our alumni programs. Our alumni groups meet regularly for fun, social and recreational activities as well as for informal group therapy. A supportive community, our alumni work together to help each other achieve a healthier life in the long run.
Mental health treatment programs do not end when a person completes 30, 60 or 90 days. We provide ongoing treatment based on a client’s needs so that our clients feel supported and comfortable as they transition into real life. Our case management & aftercare services include dedicating a therapist, nurse, and client liaison to each program graduate and following up with them and their family on a weekly basis post treatment. Our case management staff will visit clients at their homes, halfway houses, or ALF’s to make sure they are going to appointments, attending treatment, completing job applications and attending interviews.
We understand the difficulty that each of our clients faces in admitting and seeking mental health treatment. We go to great lengths to ensure that our treatment programs and treatment environment are the best and most effective for each and every client. We know that it is difficult to enter into treatment, and that our clients have trusted us to help guide them through a significant life change. We respect and honor that trust by continually committing and recommitting ourselves to their care and attention.
